wanna share what God showed me during worship of grads' caregroup
God showed me 2 towers, one made of cards, another made of bricks.
when the wind and storm came, the tower of cards fell immediately, while the tower of bricks stood firmly.
God wants to remind us, that we should be like the tower of bricks, that stands firm and strong in the midst of problems, and not like the tower of cards that is so weak.
let's be like the tower of bricks!

Yeah, it's me, irene kam, finally. Haha.
Anyway, yesterday went to watch high school musical yea.
Worth watching it. hahaha.

Anyway, ytd night, my sister have a chat with me about my r/s with God & how's my spiritual life.
Yup, I realised that, I had been in the Family of God for 9 months, and what have I done during these 9 months? I had really been slacking all these while.
I really MUST MUST MUST find at least a sheep by end of nov!
Last time I keep thinking that how come God does not give me visitors, and somehow I did blame on God, sometimes.
But my sister told me that, I must think deep.
why God does not give me visitiors? There are reasons for that.

Maybe my spiritual life is not good enough, then if it is not good enough, how would God place a sheep under me?
Or, it is a test from God. maybe God wants to test me that even i do not have any visitors,
will i continue to evax?

yup, I think that I must check it out how's my spiritual life going before I want to have a sheep.
I believed that God will pour down harvest someday, and it's going to happen!
We must trust, and wait on His timing, bec
God is always punctual, NEVER late!
amen!

I really really believed that east a2 will grow very very soon!!
For that to happen, we need to do our part!
God will blessed a imperfect church, but not a disunited church!

Really, there's not much time left. & I really hope that we will use every min & sec!
One min passed, means passed, we can't turn back the clock.
So, if we do our best, God will do the rest. amen?

Caregroup today, we had around 6 friends joining us. Yayyyy :D 4 from eastview, 2 from poiching. hahaha! We caught high school musical 3, it's greatt, and i believe all our friends and us enjoyed the show. yeah? Guess what, god is so awesome. He gave us one whole row of sit, thou it's like 2nd row from the front, but we weren't seperated. We occupied the whole row, and manage to sit as a group! IS this cool, or cooler! :D hahaha Wooo, god is the best, his so awesome! I believe god is going to pour down so so so soon! :D Let's await for this harvest! :D

heyo! today has been such a great day! all thanks to God
didn't regret at all coming for this morning's qt
wanna share what God spoke to me
while i was worshipping God, God showed me a glass, transparent bridge across two high cliffs way above the clouds. its a very beautiful picture and the bridge is so wow.
i saw us, crossing the bridge, and when we did, some of started started to see what's below the bridge and got scared afraid of falling in.
but we can be secured that though we can see what we may fall in, the bridge will still hold us and let us walk across the bridge safely.
God is like that bridge, though sometimes we see what we may fall in - our problems, struggles, sin - but we can be assured that God will never let us fall in. though we may not always feel, see or hear Him, we must know that He will never let go of us, Never let us fall and will always come to save us!
this is confirmed in [Isaiah 35:3-4]

3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;

4 say to those with fearful hearts,
"Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you."

God is our Saviour, there's no reason for us to be afraid, because "he will come to save" us! yeah! also, i wanna share a great testimony to you all!

today is my History Olevel paper. i was very tensed up this morning when i got to school, because i'm afraid that i can't finish my paper, as always. i've never finish any History paper before, i'll always either leave 1 SEQ or SBQ question blank. before the exam, i prayed that God will help me, and let me write fast. and true enough, God is faithful! I FINISH THE WHOLE PAPER!! WHOO! and not only that, i'm totally satisfied with what i wrote. all the key points and elaborations just flowed into my head like running water. its like God is my tap of knowledge filling my head with His knowledge! AWESOME! PRAISE GOD!!

you know the coolest thing just happened!
its like my mum is trying to book flight ticket to india online, but the internet doesnt seem to let her. so funny! God is like making my mum angry and frustrated. hah!
she keep going to different websites, clicking "singapore to india" flight, but every website led her to some other page! haha! she ended up to the page which says from bangkok to singapore, then some other weird pages.
she's been trying to book for like 15 mins already still cant find a page that is correct.
she restarted the internet a few times already.
i know this is not just the internet, but is God.
pray that she cant get any tickets. muaha i'm evil.
but i really don't wanna go!

Hey, yay i've got a testimony to share. Even thou it may be a small lil prayer, but god works wonders in our daily life AMEN?
Yesterday, i went to suntann with shushan, the weather didnt appeared good as we thought. Black clouds came, there weren't any sun. So we went there with a heart expecting nothing. We sat down at the chair, and we kinda doze off. haha. Then i was telling shushan, let's pray for the sun to shine once again. So we prayed, and we pray and tell god, Give us 1 hour of sunlight, so we'll be able to tann. So after we pray, we decided to go for a swim. After the swim, apparently God is so so so awesome. The sun came out, and it's very HOT :D And we manage to tann. Yay.

All praises goes out to god! woohoo. God has been so real in my life, thru prayers etc.
I believe, even a small lil prayer, if you perserver on, God will definately bless you abundantly.
It's the same for our school. I believe god will blesss real soon, As long as we continue to pray and fast for our school. Our hardwork will be rewarded! :D So let's continue to jia you for JUNYUAN AND EASTVIEW! yay.

i think this chapter sums it all up.

alright seriously it ain't very nice for ahbe's camera to be with me , cos i nearly died of heart attack today...

i'll say briefly what happen.. haha

basically we borrowed the camera for the photoshoot for our ECG video and yesterday we had half the filming and shootings done , yay ! =D so this morning i was happily looking through the photos and walking around my house ( k actually i went to the toilet ) , and then i left the camera at one safe place of my toilet and i went to pee... ( at this moment , i don't remember if i took the camera out of the toilet )
i was about to leave home to go nexus and the water baptism place to meet sirui.. and vividly i remembered placing the camera into my bag... thinking to myself that my bag's full of gadgets =D i reached YWCA and we gathered at the auditorium to play games.. because joy was so funny , we all wanted to take photos of her . i searched my bag and to my horror , there's NO camera ! i thought it was a prank made by my eyes so i started ransacking my bag a few times , but there's still NO camera ! the bag's large enough that i could see everything inside it , but there's just no traces of the camera... i panicked and called home to ask my mum to search the house but she too said there's no signs of it... i pyschoed myself that the camera must be at home and made a few prayers to God here and there .
soon after i went nexus and took the banner for ECG and set off for home . upon reaching home , i was expectant to see the camera lying at the safe compartment in the toilet but to no avail , i searched high and low but there's still NO camera ! ): i literally broke down and then God prompted me to search my bag for the last time , i opened my bag , took out the banner and TADAA!! there the camera lay right in the bag and infront of my bare eyes ! my God... how can this be ? i mean... something that is obviously missing can re-surface and appear... to me that was totally miraculous, more than magical ! i can't deny the fact that God is real !! He can make things that disappear to appear right before your eyes !

PRAYER WORKS , BUT IT TAKES FAITH TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY YOUR PRAYERS =D

no one rocks my world more than God , i love You God... You are my superhero ! MUACKS ! =D

yay i wanna thank God for guiding me through my Chem and Physics Olevel practical paper!
yay! He really blessed me man!
usually i'm very clumsy in doing experiments, especially for chem de,
its like almost every practical session i will break a test tube, or i'll spill chemicals all over my paper and table, but none of that happened today. yay! God gave me steady hands!
and also i didn't have to redo the experiments, cause usually i have to also. either i couldnt get the results needed, or i spill the chemicals or accidentaly mix the wrong chemicals that i have to restart the whole experiment, the questions are usually interlinked.
and also thank God for giving me wisdom! i can answer the questions, though the chem paper is tricky. i did my best, the rest is in God's hands!
now to chiong for the other papers!
do it once and do it well!

i can plan strategies or even outreach abit with you all, but ultimately, you all are the key holders of winning these 2 schools!
i can't do much, cause i gotta study as well even though i don't wanna!

HELLO easta2.

Today's district caregroup is so cool! For those who have miss out, i'm here to update you all.
What dennis says today, ulitmately is that we should get our relationship with god back on track again. For those who aren't doing well, aren't walking well with god, let's take a day to really spend time with god. Let's not compromise, but let's do it k! If we take one step to get closer to god, he'll run towards you. So let's take the first step to draw closer to god.

Secondly is that, after we get our relationship back with god, we ought to start to do god's work. Yeah, Our easta ECG is coming up soon! It's called LOVE ACTUALLY.
Let's really make use of everytime in school to outreach, to share the love of god and to invite our friends/juniors/classmates or anyone to this ECG alright? Let's do whatever it takes to invite them. Holidays are approaching, and there won't be much chance for us to outreach in school, so let's make full use of this 1 and half week or so to outreach k!

Let's really see JUNYUAN AND EASTVIEW VISITORS FOR UPCOMING ECG!

I had not been blogging since longlong time. Hehe, sorry ah Jade. :D
Anyway, ytd which is the post-exams celebration, was held over at my house!
Yeah, I cooked alot for them, & Yushan never tell me that we're supposed to cook tgt. Hehe.

And yes, there were me, yushan, shushan, yenping, joline & denise.
We watched tv tgt ( Mr Bean ; that was retarded~ ) as well as eat together!, bounce ball tgt & we hit.. hmm, a photo. :D
Hahaha!
They are super crazy ok! esp denise & joline ah. Both of them kept bouncing the colorful ball at my living room somemore. :P Hehs.

Then, we went down tgt to play the ball (volleyball & soccer) Laughs!
Is super duper hilarious can!
and, we keep miss the ball, make us very embarrassed~ *.*

After sweating so so much, we went back to my house. Both my parents went back.
Then we chatted awhile, then they went off to meet my shep. & we got dabao for her.

Hmm, caregrp is really my family, they are really caring, & fun-going sisters.

all of us are so sinful, we did so many countless things that are evil in God's eyes. we disappointed Him many times committing the same sins over and over.
But despite all this, God treat us so much better than what we actually deserve.
By right, we are supposed to be destroyed and punished because of all the sins we've committed, instead, God treats us well. God still loves us so much no matter how much we hurt Him. i think that's very amazing.
None of us deserve to stand before Him, but yet God still longs for each and every one of us to draw nearer to Him.
if God does not love us, and is merciless, we would have suffered like mad by now.
the key is, God forgives and God forgets.
whatever sins we've done, big or small, a few times or a million times, as long as we repent and make effort to want to change, He will forgive, and put the matter behind Him.
Imagine the whole pile of matters that is behind Him by now.
thank God i'm not God, if not all of you will die in my hands. muahaha haha!

i think all of us should send this verse to our leaders often. no matter how cool or how amazing out leader is, she still needs our support. a little encouragement goes a long way.
its amazing how one word "jiayou" makes a difference. our encouragements and affirmations encourages them alot, and it will help them to strive on!
so let's support our leaders more, and show them we're in this with them. Yay!

today's cg Holy Communion was special and cool don't you think? well done shushan!
haha and i was reminded of something during that Holy Communion!
remember shushan told us to wrap the cross-shaped bread with aluminium foil, that was cool!
the cross-shaped bread represents us and the aluminium covering it is God.
the ribena poured on top of all the aluminium-covered bread is the sufferings and problems we face.
Let's always remember that Jesus is always protecting us from all the sufferings and problems!
and though we do face problems sometimes[represented by the parts of the bread undercovered properly], He is the one that gets hit the most!

i wanna start seeing God as a protector, that though i face problems, He has it worst.
if there's no Him, i would have been hit so sooo soo much more that what i'm receiving now.
thank you God for sending Jesus to die on the cross, and from shielding us!

before i begin , i would like all of you to watch the "i am willing" video if you haven't do so...



the video showcases certain parts from the movie " Ten Commandments " , it talks about Moses being called by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt however he felt inadequate and insecure because he do not know how and etc. Nevertheless, Moses despite feeling that he's not able knew that God's able and thus willing to be used by God. And because of his willingness, God did amazing things through him (eg. part the red sea). Many a times we might feel like Moses, feel inadequate, small, or even lousy but as long as we're willing to obey God's command, he can work through us and let His light shine through us. God is a gentle God, He'll not force His power through us if we ain't willing to let Him take full charge (: So in other words, when we're willing to obey God and be used by Him, God will add upon us things that we lack and cause us to be able to complete the task that we're set to do... He'll provide for our needs, needs needed to fulfil the task... =D

cause, i didnt even study for my chemistry test, and i didnt even know there was a test, but i got 21/25 for it! yay

whoa, sorry peeps, havent been online for the past few days, was feeling sick.
yeah. saturday service was awesome!
one thing i wanna really apply is to stop giving excuses in the things i'm called or supposed to do.
like studying. due to my laid back self, i often give excuses in putting off my time to study.
i'll give excuses like, "oh my favourite tv show is on, later.." or "aiya, headache, tomorrow then study.." and "hungry, i cant study on an empty stomach". this always ends off with me not having to study anything at all for that day.
i wanna stop this. jade, be disciplined!
and another area i give excuses is, is outreaching. sometimes because of fear, i give excuses to avoid having to evangelise on a certain person. i'll give comments like "huh? that girl like so scary, so unfriendly, don't want luh" and "that girl don't look like lower sec, think she's around sec 4, not our target, nah...". yes, i'm guilty!
but i repented and wanna change.
next time if i give excuses, smack me please!

Enter the examination hall without any idea on what is the criterion or subject being tested is equivalent to running onto the battlefield without a rifle.

Exams can be said to be a constant in student’s life. It is an annual ordeal, but even more importantly, we must understand that it is allowed by God. Thus the question to ask is why are we being examined and what are we being examined about.

An examination is a test to see if we have acquired a certain level of proficiency in something. Thus the purpose of an examination is always to act as a gauge, both used by God and by man. (Meaning that the purpose is similar, but the standard of gauging may differ)

Already answering why we are being examined, now we need to answer what are we being examined on? We need to know what we are tested upon in order to pass; hence this is the important point. Schools examine our knowledge, God test our character. (I hate to use the word test as it seems to be an understated expression regarding the importance of passing the assessment, but people are often more familiar with God testing us.. so oh well..)
Understand this, God’s main aim is not out to make us smarter. After all, as I said before, knowledge of this world is of no value. In fact, we are merely discovering what God has concluded. He made the world. If He’s so obsessed about us learning how it works, He would have given us a textbook, not a Bible. Besides if God wanted to use exams to test our level of intellect, He would be practicing favoritism with those that He created with higher aptitude for learning.

God uses exams to bring out to light our true character. He’s testing us in discipline, diligence, perseverance. If we cannot even be disciplined to study for an exam which is the basic responsibility of a student, how can we be disciplined to shepherd our sheep? If we cannot even study diligently, how will we be to serve Him diligently? Our character is reflected off simple things such as these.

Get this straight: This isn’t an examination on intellect; this is an examination of character.

Our examination hall isn’t the school hall, it’s our daily life
Our exam duration isn’t the 2 hours; it’s the months leading to the examination
Our exams doesn’t end when the time’s up for writing, our exam ends when the time is up for our preparation
Our pass isn’t in our marks; it’s how we fared in the eyes of The Almighty
He’s not asking for top grades, He asked for top character
Just do your best, for by doing that, you have already passed His test.

hey dudettes!!
we know exams are here, and for some of us, its around the corner.
some of us may not feel the urgency yet, even those who are taking their O's this year... like me.
ok i admit that i ain't motivated yet.
as much as i want my body to start studying, my body did not.
i feel that laziness is starting to be suh a burden.
my prelim results is terrible!
the highest i got is a B3, and the lowest, an E8.
time to pull up my socks! and you too if you havent!
many of us think that there's no motivation, there's still time. How wrong you are!
God should be our motivation! and every exam, we only get ONE shot!
we wanna do well in exams not for ourselves, but for God!
it pleases God when we give our best in our studies!
no matter how irrelevant you think the subject you're studying is, it doesnt matter, just do your best!
like what we learnt, school should be a joy[though its not for most of us]
let's change that attitude, and tell God we wanna give our best!
personally, i havent started studying, and my O's are getting closer.
but i'm starting today, emath practices. i hate math, but i wanna do it for God!
when we do our best, God will do the rest amen??

hey! wanna share with you guys something very cool that happened when i went to visit my grandma, aunt and uncle[they live together].
its truly amazing! i was taken aback!

my grandma, aunt and uncle accepted Jesus into their lives not long ago, a few months i would say, and my grandma's faith in God is just so great!
during dinner, God was all my grandma could talk about.
she was sitting with us, sharing loads of cool testimonies[in teochew] of how God blessed her.
one of the testimonies she shared was about this brother in her cellgroup who smokes, and he won't heed people's advice of quitting. my grandma talked about how our body is the temple of God and smoking is just like harming God's temple. and she prayed to God that during the sunday service, the pastor would talk about smoking, like tell the church people is bad to smoke and stuff.
true enough, that sunday, during altar call, the response was for those who smoke. she was just so amazed that she praise God right at our dinner table.
its just so cool!
and she talked about this sister[non-believer] who was in some kind of coma, and wouldnt wake up. my grandma prayed for her, together with the other believers, and she woke up.
when that woman woke up and said God brought her to see hell, its a very creepy place.
its really a horrifying burning place, and God let her see heaven as well, because initially, God didnt let her see because she did not believe in God, but she promised that if she saw heaven she would believe and convert. after she woke up from her coma and was healed completely, she accepted Jesus into her life!
thank God i could understand teochew if not i wouldnt have listened to all this wonderful blessings from God.
my grandma is so happy that she sang some chinese and cantonese praise and worship songs for us to hear, its very cool! haha!
God has changed my grandma's life.
and my uncle's!
when he just receive Jesus, he was constantly bugged and haunted by satan and the demons.
there were always scary thoughts in his mind to like tell him to commit suicide and stuff, and my uncle fell into depression. now, he is completely healed and satan no longer has control over him!
wow! God, you are truly AMAZING!!
You amaze me more and more each day!!

and since my mum isnt a believer, my grandma was like trying to convince her that God is real, like "this is the true living God" and stuff. OMGOSH!! so cool! and she also share Christ to her friends and like pray for them!

i believe if God can change my grandma and uncle's lives, He can most certainly change ours as well! aim for life transformation!
give thanks even for the little things, don't take God for granted!
Praise Him!

oh yeah! just now i wasnt feeling well, my grandma and aunt suddenly prayed for me, so full of faith. and now, i'm completely healed!
