i'm really determined to show more love and care for my parents, i know that without these, i will never ever be able to bring them to come to know God.
i think i have the tendency to take my parents for granted, especially my mum.
like expecting them to wash my clothes, iron them, clean the house, pack my room etc, to the point that i sometimes see no point in thanking her thinking "its her job", "she's the mother, that's what mother's do"
i'm wrong to think like that.
our parents do all these things for us unconditionally, the least we could do is thank them.

this reminds me of an incident that happened in india during dec08. during dinner, we ate homecooked food at home. there was fish, rice, soup all that. then the fish is the kind that has many tiny bones. so my dad specially took the bones out one by one, making sure all the bones are removed before putting it on my plate. i didnt really realise him picking the bones so i just said "daddy, i don't want fish le".
what i said really hurt him. he purposely take out all the bones even though he cant see the bones properly for me, afraid that i'll get choked on it, and i just said i don't want it.
i didnt realise i hurt him until he said "jade, i took out all the bones for you and now you say you don't want it."
oh man! we will never know how much our words will hurt our parents. not all parents will express their hurt verbally like my dad did. be careful of what we say and do to them.

let's aim to be better daughters to our parents!
when they see how we've changed, they'll know its God.
