heyo peeps!
think today's service is very applicable for all of us. yeah i learnt alot.
one thing i wanna apply from the sermon is to entrust my hurts to God.
2nd point it say that God Will Relieve My Pain.
its really cool how the real shepherd takes care of the sheep. he mix sulphur and olive oil and pours it on the sheep's head to treat the wounds and keep flies away.
He takes such good care of the sheep and takes note of its every need.
like flies may be nothing much to the shepherd, but to the sheep, its so irritating and a huge problem to it. the shepherd cares so much for the sheep.
i know God cares for us as well, we are His sheep.
i believe all of us get hurt sometimes, mostly because of people. this includes me.
sometimes we expect a certain person to do something for us and when she doesnt, we get hurt.
like we expect our close friend to be there for you, but one day she can't, you get hurt.
or you expect someone to remember something important, like your birthday, then it sort of slipped her mind, you get hurt.
or your mum said something hurtful to you though she doesnt mean it, you get hurt.
yeah.. i've experience some hurts in my life because of people.
i want to learnt to surrender all these wounds to God, to let Him heal them.
though a scar is left, i wanna remember how God healed it and not how the person have hurt me.
yeah God, i surrender my hurts to You! let's surrender together.

and also, i just finished my qt.
i was reading Psa 66 and v18 says:
"if i had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;"
think some of us have some sins in our life that we haven't let go, be it lying, or holding grudges, or being jealous.
"cherished" here doesnt exactly just mean that you love the sin, you love lying or being jealous, but it can also mean that you're not willing to give up the sin or you havent fully surrendered it to God.
example, lying. you know you shouldnt lie, but you are super tempted to because you wanna gain something, or you don't want to get in trouble, whatever the reason, you still lie even though you know its wrong.
yeah i'm guilty of this sometimes too. nevermind, we're all sinful.
but i wanna change. let's change together man!
surrender our sins to God!
let Him take control!
